Béarn Bellocq
South-West FranceBéarn Bellocq is a red wine produced in the Béarn region of south-western France. It is made from Tannat grapes, a varietal typical to this area, and is aged in oak barrels to develop aromatic complexity and robust tannin structure.
Béarn Bellocq displays aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and strawberry, along with notes of blackcurrant and black pepper. On the palate, it is well-structured and balanced, with firm tannins and lively acidity that make it ideally suited to accompany rich and flavourful dishes such as grilled red meats, strong cheeses, and truffle-based preparations.
Béarn Bellocq is also known for its excellent aging potential. It can be cellared for many years, allowing wine enthusiasts to experience its aromas and flavours evolving over time.
The Béarnais vineyard is an ancient wine territory, with vines planted over 1000 years ago by monks and local lords. Situated in a mountain terroir, the vines are cultivated on limestone and schist soils, which produce distinctly characteristic wines of exceptional quality.
