Patrick Asfaux Awarded the Gold Medal of the Académie Culinaire de France

Despite the snowfall covering the capital, members of the Académie Culinaire de France gathered at the prestigious Hôtel de Poupry for their annual General Assembly, a major event for the culinary profession and one marked this year by an exceptional highlight.
The day began with a Master Class dedicated to the Galette des Rois, led by two iconic figures of French pastry: Jean-Michel Perruchon and Joël Defives, both Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. Under their expert guidance, nearly 200 galettes were laminated and shared, perfectly illustrating the precision of the craft and the spirit of transmission that defines the Academy.
The Assembly then continued with a gathering of chefs from across France and abroad. The President of the Academy, Fabrice Prochasson, presented a rich and ambitious program, outlining the many participations planned for major professional events in 2026.
